Preparing for Your Procedure
Your plastic surgeon will give you detailed preoperative & postoperative instructions. Make sure you read and follow these closely in preparation for your surgery and bring them with you to your recovery.
Prescriptions
At your preoperative doctor's appointment ask your plastic surgeon for any prescriptions you will need. Keep in mind that your care remains under that of your plastic surgeon and for your safety he or she will be the ONLY physician prescribing you postoperative medication. We are close to several pharmacies so that if you require new or additional medication your plastic surgeon can call it in for you and we can pick it up for you.
Home Medication Clarification/Post-Op Instructions
Bring any home medications that you will need to take during your stay with us. It is your responsibility to make sure that your home medications are in their originally labeled perscription bottles. It is also your responsibility to check with your plastic surgeons prior to surgery so you know which to take post-op. Remember to tell your doctor if you are taking herbal supplements because many of these can thin your blood and may need to be stopped prior to your procedure.
Surgical Compression Garments & Surgical Bras
Check with your plastic surgeon to find out if you will need to purchase any surgical garments for your recovery and remember to bring these with you on the day of surgery. You may also purchase these from us during your stay should you need them once you are here.
Postoperative Doctor's Appointments
At the time of your preoperative appointment you will likely be scheduled for a postoperative appointment. Call us at your convenience with this information so that we may make appropriate transportation arrangements for you.
